Xbox Game Pass adds Halo remake, Beast of Reincarnation and several new titles

Microsoft is refreshing Xbox Game Pass with a wave of additions before the end of July, including a fully rebuilt Halo campaign, multiple day-one launches and a range of indie and legacy releases. Several titles also depart the service at the month’s end, giving subscribers a short window to play or buy them before they leave the catalogue.

Available now: The Planet Crafter

The Planet Crafter is already live on Game Pass for Xbox Series X|S cloud, console, handheld and PC players. This single-player or co-op-focused survival and terraforming game tasks players with converting a hostile world into a habitable environment. Activities include gathering resources, building a base and operating machines to raise temperature and oxygen levels until the planet is transformed.

Key day-one and coming-soon additions

Several games arrive on Game Pass within the next week, with a number available on day one for subscribers.

Shift at Midnight (July 22) is coming to cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and debuts on Game Pass day one. The title is an online cooperative detective horror experience where three players investigate customers across randomized shifts, and must react fast when situations turn hostile.

On July 23, Hell is Us will join Game Pass on cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The action-oriented title drops players into a war-torn nation cursed by supernatural forces, prioritizing melee combat and open exploration over hand-holding guidance.

The most high-profile addition is Halo: Campaign Evolved, arriving July 28 on cloud, console, handheld and PC. This remake rebuilds the original Halo: Combat Evolved campaign, offering upgraded visuals, tighter controls, support for up to four-player online co-op, three new missions, additional weapons and vehicles, and new enemy encounters. It is available on Game Pass at launch.

Mistfall Hunter launches July 30 on cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, and is another day-one Game Pass release. Marketed as a dark fantasy extraction ARPG, the game blends classes, skills and gear as players fight to survive and secure loot for extraction.

Corsair Cove arrives on PC July 31 for Game Pass subscribers. The city-builder casts players as pirate haven architects who juggle production chains, fleet management and governance while pursuing dominance over the high seas.

On August 4 two more titles expand the library: an enhanced restoration of Heretic + Hexen — now available to Game Pass Premium users in addition to Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers — and Beast of Reincarnation, a Game Freak action RPG that merges real-time and turn-based combat. Beast of Reincarnation is also a day-one addition for Game Pass members and is available on cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC.

Recent arrivals you might have missed

Microsoft pointed to a couple of releases from earlier in July that are now available on Game Pass. Buckshot Roulette launched on July 8 for cloud, Xbox Series X|S, handheld and PC; it translates the tension of Russian roulette into a tabletop horror experience. Denshattack!, released July 15 on cloud, Xbox Series X|S and PC, is a frantic, off-the-rails action title where players flip and grind a train through a stylized Japanese dystopia while confronting rival gangs and corporate opposition.

In-game benefits and events

Game Pass subscribers on PC will find in-game benefits tied to Zenless Zone Zero available July 29. The update introduces a first-generation Void Hunter named Remielle and an Airspace Patrol deputy director called Sigrid, alongside the opportunity to select an S-rank agent as part of the title’s anniversary content.

What’s leaving Game Pass on July 31

Several titles will exit the Game Pass library on July 31. Players who want to keep progress or continue playing should consider purchasing the games before they depart. The list includes:

  • Back to the Dawn (cloud, console, PC)
  • Celeste (cloud, console, PC)
  • Crusader Kings 3 (cloud, console, PC)
  • Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord (cloud, console, PC)
  • My Friendly Neighborhood (cloud, console, PC)
  • Rain World (cloud, console, PC)
  • Sniper Elite Resistance (cloud, console, PC)
  • Whiskerwood (PC)

Subscribers who plan to revisit or finish those titles have until July 31 to do so through Game Pass.

What this patch of updates means for subscribers

The end-of-July updates balance high-profile, nostalgia-driven content with fresh releases and indie flavors. Halo: Campaign Evolved brings a remade classic to Game Pass, while day-one entrants like Mistfall Hunter and Beast of Reincarnation demonstrate Microsoft’s continuing commitment to launch-window inclusion. At the same time, departures of established single-player and strategy titles mean subscribers should prioritize any remaining playthroughs before late-July removals.

Note: Games labeled as “Handheld” in Game Pass materials are optimized for handheld play where supported.
