EDITORIAL STANDARDS

How CloudPath Tech selects, verifies and publishes its journalism.

Our editorial standards are designed to protect accuracy, transparency, independence and reader trust throughout every stage of our publishing process.

CloudPath combines technology-assisted discovery with source-led reporting and automated quality controls. These standards apply regardless of whether a story is drafted manually or with support from artificial intelligence.

How We Use AI Corrections Policy

OUR STANDARD

Publish only when the source and the story can be understood clearly.

Accuracy before speed

Direct source attribution

No invented facts or quotations

Transparent corrections

OUR PRINCIPLES

The standards behind every CloudPath story

Our editorial decisions are guided by six principles that apply to discovery, writing, illustration, publication and correction.

01 — ACCURACY

Facts must be supportable

Names, dates, figures, quotations and technical claims must be supported by the available source material. We do not knowingly publish invented or unverified details.

02 — TRANSPARENCY

Readers should see the source

Published stories identify the originating publication or organisation and provide a direct link whenever a valid source URL is available.

03 — CLARITY

Complexity without confusion

We explain technical developments in direct, accessible English without hiding uncertainty or reducing difficult subjects to misleading simplifications.

04 — INDEPENDENCE

Editorial decisions stay separate

Coverage decisions are not dictated by technology vendors, advertisers, political organisations, investment platforms or the companies being discussed.

05 — PROPORTIONALITY

Headlines must match the evidence

Headlines and excerpts should reflect the actual significance of a development. We avoid manufactured urgency, unsupported certainty and misleading clickbait.

06 — ACCOUNTABILITY

Mistakes must be corrected

When a material error is identified, we review it promptly, correct the article where appropriate and explain significant changes transparently.

SOURCES AND VERIFICATION

Every story must begin with an identifiable source.

CloudPath primarily reports from established news organisations, official company announcements, government bodies, recognised research institutions, public filings and other identifiable primary or professional sources.

A source’s reputation alone does not guarantee that every page is usable. Our systems also check whether the retrieved material appears to contain an actual article rather than a login screen, subscription wall, automated traffic warning, CAPTCHA or security-verification page.

When the available material is incomplete, inaccessible or too limited to support a responsible article, the story should not be published from that source.

SOURCE CHECKLIST

Before publication, we look for:

✓ A recognisable publisher or organisation

✓ A valid and direct source URL

✓ Sufficient article content and context

✓ Publication details that can be understood

✓ No evidence of an access-block or verification page

AI-ASSISTED WORKFLOW

Technology can support editorial work. It cannot replace evidence.

AI systems may help discover topics, organise source material, draft text, classify articles, create metadata and produce editorial illustrations.

Our standards apply equally to AI-assisted content.

Artificial intelligence is not treated as an independent reporting source. Generated content must remain grounded in the supplied source material and must not introduce unsupported facts, fabricated quotations or invented statistics.

Automated systems are imperfect. CloudPath therefore uses validation rules to assess article structure, length, source accessibility and signs that a blocked or restricted page has been mistaken for journalism.

Meaningful details about our use of artificial intelligence are published openly in our AI policy.

PUBLICATION LIMITS

What we will not knowingly publish

Speed or traffic potential does not justify publishing material that fails basic editorial standards.

Fabricated information

Invented quotations, unsupported figures, fictional events or claims that cannot be traced to the available source material.

Misleading headlines

Headlines that exaggerate a story, conceal essential context or make a conclusion stronger than the evidence supports.

Blocked-page summaries

Articles based primarily on CAPTCHA screens, access-denied messages, verification pages or other non-editorial responses.

Undisclosed sponsored material

Paid or commercially influenced content presented as independent reporting without clear and prominent disclosure.

Copied articles

Substantial reproduction of another publication’s wording instead of an original account grounded in properly attributed source material.

Manipulated visual evidence

Generated or altered imagery presented in a way that falsely suggests it is documentary evidence of a real event.

HEADLINES

Informative, not manipulative

Headlines should identify the central development and remain proportionate to the source. Questions, urgency and strong language should not be used merely to manufacture curiosity.

ATTRIBUTION

Credit must remain visible

CloudPath articles include an identifiable source and direct link. Attribution does not transfer responsibility for our wording, presentation or any errors introduced during our process.

IMAGES

Illustration is not evidence

Many article images are conceptual editorial illustrations. They are intended to represent the subject or consequence of a story, not to document the actual scene described.

INDEPENDENCE AND DISCLOSURE

Commercial relationships must not be hidden.

Editorial coverage should not be purchased, traded for favourable treatment or altered to satisfy a company discussed in an article.

When CloudPath publishes sponsored, affiliate-supported or otherwise commercially influenced material, that relationship should be disclosed clearly and positioned so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial coverage.

The presence of advertising near an article does not imply editorial endorsement of the advertiser.

CLEAR LABELS

Commercial content should be identified with language such as:

Sponsored

Partner Content

Affiliate Disclosure

CORRECTIONS AND FEEDBACK

Editorial standards require a way to challenge our work.

Readers, sources and organisations may contact CloudPath to report factual errors, unclear attribution, broken source links or other material concerns. Reports should identify the article and explain the specific issue.

POLICY REVIEW

These standards will evolve with CloudPath.

The policy may be updated as our publication, technology and editorial responsibilities develop.

Trust is built through visible standards.

Publishing a policy is not enough on its own. The value of these standards depends on applying them consistently, acknowledging failures and improving the systems used to produce our journalism.
